This post will be updated frequently as studies come my way. Many are out there and we will compile them in here. There is a strong connection between blood types and both, mental and physical health related predispositions. Bear with me as I will compile as I have time to do so. If you have something to add, leave a comment.
Please be aware that some of these studies relied on small samples calling for additional studies to verify the results or dismiss them/put them in question.
Rh Negative Blood
Disadvantages
Overall, rh negative health has been shown to rate less favorable in several studies. Here is one:
Worse Health Status and Higher Incidence of Health Disorders in Rhesus Negative Subjects
I am however convinced that much of the reason behind this is personal choices. Choices similar to those by the general population less affected health-wise. Bad health conditions are often warning signs that rh negatives need to take care of ourselves better. What condition our health generally speaking is in when taking better care than rh negatives generally speaking do, is yet to be seen.

This specific cancer actually doubles the likelihood of getting it for rh negative women. And while 5.6% of the controls were O negative, the percentage of O negative endometriosis patients is as high as 9%.

Advantages
There may be some immunity related to certain viruses. One example is chikungunya:
Rh negatives resistant to chikungunya
The claim that rh negatives are immune to HIV/AIDS has been proven false. There are however studies out there indicating a lower frequency of rh negatives among HIV/AIDS victims than the controls caused us to expect.

Blood Type O
Disadvantages
A study of more than 560 women undertaking fertility treatment found that those with blood type O were up to twice as likely to have a lower egg count and poorer egg quality, which could affect the chances of conceiving.
People with group O have a greater risk of peptic ulcers.Type O people may be more vulnerable to a bacterium that can cause peptic ulcers, Helicobacter pylori.
Advantages
The latest research into blood types shows that having group O blood can lower your risk of heart attacks.People with blood type O negative also have the lowest risk of developing diabetes.
Blood Type A
Disadvantages
Because certain blood types are more likely to co-occur with varying levels of hormones in the body, physicians commonly tailor their exercise recommendations to the patient’s type. People with type A blood, for example, are more likely to have higher levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, in their body. So, stress-reducing exercises, like Tai Chi and yoga, may be more beneficial at cutting that tension than running or weightlifting alone.
When the adrenal gland dumps more and more cortisol into the blood, people’s stress response grows more acute. People with type A blood may find themselves getting anxious more quickly and having a harder time letting troubles roll off their back.
In a study of OCD sufferers done in 1983, Blood Type A was shown to be associated with a higher incidence of OCD over other types, in addition to a higher incidence of hysteria.
A 1965 study indicates an association between blood type A and schizophrenia.
(See: Blood Types and Mental Health)
Advantages
Women with blood group A seemed to be better protected against their egg counts falling over time.
Blood Type B
Disadvantages
A study at Harvard University found that women with AB or B group blood have a raised risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Other research has found that people with type AB and B blood have a much higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer.
Advantages
Lower risk for diseases listed that people with other ABO blood groups are most prone to.
Blood Type AB
Disadvantages
A study at Harvard University found that women with AB or B group blood have a raised risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Other research has found that people with type AB and B blood have a much higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer.
There are also fears that AB blood may double or even treble the risk of pregnant mothers suffering from the potentially lethal blood pressure condition pre-eclampsia.
A 2012 study from Harvard University found people with non-O blood also happen to have an increased risk for cardiovascular disease. But those with type AB blood were the most at-risk overall, demonstrating a 23 percent greater chance of suffering from heart disease than type O subjects.
A recent study found people with type AB blood were 82 percent more likely to experience difficulties with memory recall, language, and attention than people with other types.
A fairly new study also indicated high frequencies of people with blood type AB among patients with psychiatric disorders.
The results of this study support the hypothesis of an association between psychiatric disorders and ABO blood groups. The probability is that psychiatric disorders will occur almost three times more frequently in carriers of AB group compared to other ABO blood groups in the Croatian population.

It may be too early to explain why there is a relationship between blood types and health related predispositions, but in time, all verified material highlighting reasons will be added.
