There are more than 6 eye colors. It is a myth that all eye colors fit into 6 boxes.

We know about heterochromia, but what most people are not aware of is how frequent it is and that it isn't always about being as obvious as it was with David Bowie.

Central heterochromia refers to a combination of colors in one eye, and occurs due to uneven distribution of melanin. Eye color is a result of melanin deposits in the iris, which is the part of the eye responsible for dilating and constricting the pupil to control the amount of light that enters.
